We were recently struck by how little we knew about African textile history and traditions- a topic worth further investigation. When we want accessible information on textiles, we always begin with John Gillow. His books are reliably good and always inspiring. “African Textiles,” published in 2003 is no exception.
We love informal bedrooms- they’re practical and encourage lingering and lounging. And while it may seem counterintuitive, a casual room can actually be more difficult to put together than a very formal one.
