Reading is one of our biggest passions and favorite pastimes- so what could be better than a book of evocative photographs of other people reading? André Kertész’s elegant little tome On Reading is worth a look.
Published in 1971, the black and white photographs in the book are the work of Kertész’s unerring eye. A celebrated photojournalist in his day, the images are remarkable not only for their beauty, but also for the intimate moments they capture. Subjects’ posture, their surroundings, the books themselves- there is much to get lost in. These are a few of our favorite images from the book, and they’re inspiring us today as we work on a library/dining room design.
