Although our primary love is interior design, photography is a close runner-up. One of our favorite bodies of work is that of Henri Cartier-Bresson. There is currently a beautiful retrospective of his work on exhibition at the MoMA that will be running through June 28th. For those of you not able to make it to New York City, you can review an extensive sampling of his work online: Moma. The exhibition will travel to The Art Institute of Chicago, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), and the High Museum of Art, Atlanta.

Cartier-Bresson’s work was incremental in the progression of modern photography. His ability to capture a poignant moment in time and to highlight the beauty in everyday life and human affairs was remarkable. His work, whether it was documenting current events in politically volatile countries such as China, India, and the Soviet Union, or composing portraits of prominent artists, writers, or political figures, is incredibly powerful and awe-inspiring.
