We both love standing over a stove and feeding a crowd, so it should come as no surprise that designing kitchens is one of our favorites things to do. When looking for inspiration, we frequently return to the kitchens of UK-based Plain English Design. Using traditional joinery methods, their cabinetry is simultaneously traditional and modern. Because the details are so frequently stripped down to their essential qualities, the construction is allowed to stand out. And this is construction that one should pay attention to: true face-frames, one-piece dovetailed drawers, integral plinths that are scribed to the floor and not covered with a base.

Custom cabinetry is a luxury that is worth considering. The ability to fine-tune carpentry details to suit your practical and aesthetic needs, not to mention seamlessly outfitting even the trickiest of spaces in an elegant manner, makes going custom a great choice.
