On a trip to Seattle in 2009, I stopped into the Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park Pavilion to check out Geoff McFetridge’s installation “In The Mind.” One of my favorite components was a graphic wallpaper featuring dense crowds of people, and I was happy to find its retail source today.
I became acquainted with McFetridge’s work through its inclusion in some of Barbara Bestor’s projects, and immediately appreciated its playful and clean qualities. Although I never had an occasion to source it for a project, I filed it away. When I finally visited the SAM piece, I was reminded about how much I liked his illustrations.
Looking at wallpapers for a client this week, I came across Pottok Papers in Los Angeles and was happy to find the McFetridge wallpapers I had admired a few years ago. I think they still look great and am excited to show them as a possibility for this project!
