Recently, we showed this tear sheet of an apartment at 211 Elizabeth Street in New York (decorated by Own Entity) to a client, and it inspired a fast and furious search for mid-century lighting. There are elements in the pictured room that are similar to things we’re recommending for our client’s home, but it was the floor lamp in the room- kindly identified as a vintage Austrian piece sourced from LA’s Rewire- that especially appealed to her.

Here are some available vintage pieces and one new design that capture the spirit of that fantastic, minimal, leaning lamp.

Mid-century French Lamp
Mid-century, most likely French. (So beautiful, right?)

Stilux Lamp
A Danish Stilix Lamp- smaller in scale, but we love the flattened base detail.

Pierre Gauriche
A French piece by Pierre Gauriche. This is our favorite shade.

Lean Lamp
The Lean Lamp from Orsjo- the brass detail is really nice.
