We first became acquainted with the work of Studio Dunn when they were doing some custom work for our clients at Hillside Avenue. With their wood shop located right down the street from our office, it was great knowing there was innovative and beautiful woodworking happening right in our backyard. Then about a year later, we watched them win big with an amazing introductory collection at 2010’s ICFF.

Coventry Stool in our office
We loved the Rhode Island Collection so much that we chose to include select pieces in our office, which was subsequently featured in issue 4 of Rue Magazine. The scale and proportion of every piece is perfect, and the craftsmanship is inspiring. We love knowing that this furniture was created right in our neighborhood.

Studio Dunn Barrington Chair and Coventry Stool
The Coventry Stool is a perfect perch, and we’re hard pressed to think of an interior that wouldn’t be helped by one or two. Likewise, the Barrington Chair mixes easily with a variety of table styles, but is good-looking enough to stand alone.

A pair of Barrington Chairs in our office
We paired our Barrington Chairs with a vintage Conant Ball table, and love the effect of the petite chairs with the oversized lamp in our conference area.

Go check out the new Heiress Collection!
We recently chatted with Andrew at Studio Dunn, and the results can be seen on their site here. If you’re in the market for high-quality, innovative wood furniture, you owe it to yourself to check out their offerings (including the new Heiress Collection). They also take custom commissions – we had a semi-custom light fixture fabricated for Om Kids – and are a total pleasure to collaborate with. We can’t recommend them highly enough. Be sure to check out their beautiful work.
