We just completed a quick and easy bedroom update at Hillside Avenue, one of our ongoing projects. While we gut renovated the kitchen at this house on a tight schedule almost two years ago, the furnishing of its rooms has been a more measured task. With their family growing, the homeowners invited us back to provide a little help with some of the private upstairs rooms.
We love informal bedrooms- they’re practical and encourage lingering and lounging. And while it may seem counterintuitive, a casual room can actually be more difficult to put together than a very formal one. To get an informal bedroom feeling finished yet relaxed requires a lot of balance and ruthless editing. Ore Studios is working on just such a room right now- and these are the images that we have tacked above our desk.
