Perched high above Belltown and featuring spectacular views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains, this condo project was the second round of downsizing OreStudios managed for these homeowners. Following a move from a large suburban home into a generous townhouse downtown, the clients wanted something smaller and easier to leave during their frequent travels and time spent at their vacation home.
With a subdued, quiet interior envelope provided by the developers, OreStudios selected fixtures and furnishings to compliment the newly constructed space. A new custom office was also designed and realized with Kerf Design. Chalky linens, beige and taupe carpets and gray wool upholstery create an inviting palette that references the city and sound outside the floor to ceiling windows. Generous curtains and plenty of warm wood finishes prevent the space from feeling sterile or cold. Works from local artists including Paul Horiuchi and Morris Graves add to the distinctly regional perspective of this home.

A single slab of madrone formerly used as a wall hanging was repurposed into a dining table.

Custom cabinets in the study are tailor made to the clients' needs and handsome enough to leave exposed to the adjacent dining room.
