Our team was selected to remodel and decorate this one-bedroom condominium in order to eliminate the existing dark finishes—caramelized bamboo floors, brown glass-mosaic tile, and black cabinetry. The space felt dark and small. The new owner, a bon vivant drawn to Scandinavian style, dreamt of pale wood with white marble, and a kitchen layout that would support her love of the culinary arts.

We renovated the kitchen and bathroom and replaced the flooring, tile, hardware, and lighting throughout the unit. The space now features white oak floors, cream-colored porcelain tile, and honed Carrara marble. Open shelving in the kitchen displays collections of hand-made ceramic and wood service pieces. Without changing the existing locations of walls and utilities, the home is utterly transformed. The new pale palette feels open, bright, and modern.

The neutral palette allows utilitarian accessories—pottery and cookbooks—to serve as art.

A minimalist aesthetic allows views through the floor-to-ceiling glass to visually expand the space.
