OreStudios was hired to establish the overall interior design of this contemporary new construction home in Galisteo, New Mexico. We worked extensively to develop a functional and efficient floor plan that was in keeping with the clients’ preference for contemporary minimalism. We then focused on the selection of finishes, fixtures, and equipment—a simple palette of gray concrete floors, white walls, and cool-colored tile were carried throughout the house to create cohesiveness. New furniture was selected in keeping with the owners’ modern aesthetic—clean lines and solid colors with interesting textures. Special attention was paid to the development of a lighting plan that would effectively illuminate the interior and the owners’ art collection.
Designed for a couple entering retirement, we imagined a luxury hotel suite: crisp details and just the essentials.
The kitchen features Poliform cabinetry, Heath Ceramics tile, and light fixtures by Artemide.
