This ground-up tenant infill project was designed for the new orthodontic practice of Dr. Shafeena Chatur. We selected materials, fixtures, and furnishings to support her vision of a dental space that appeals to a wide range of patients (children and teenagers as well as adults). Incorporating elements that feel happy, calm, entertaining, and fun—a strong color palette, vintage Nintendo games, design magazines—the space transports people in a residential-feeling environment. Special light fixtures add warmth and personality to the commercial space, while a “selfie booth” encourages smile-sharing.
We introduced mid-century elements to the decoration to impart warmth and character.
The palette is warm, welcoming and clean.
